Dalton 80N-Class Reactor Vessel
Client / SMR Nuclear Technologies
This Dalton 80N-Class reactor vessel, unit RV-1200, required renders that communicated true physical scale alongside surface and piping detail, critical for stakeholder review where the design's footprint matters as much as its function.
Array Design Studio built a render set spanning full-vessel hero shots and scale-figure compositions, giving reviewers an immediate, accurate read on RV-1200's real-world dimensions.

The Dalton 80N Vessel
This render set was built to answer one question before anything else: how big is it, really? Every shot carries an immediate, unambiguous read on scale before it carries anything about finish or lighting.
Dalton 80N is the reactor class; this particular unit is designated RV-1200. Its triple-tier construction, structural support framing, and instrumentation plating were modelled to hold up under close inspection, not just from a flattering hero angle, since the same geometry had to serve both marketing stills and technical review.
A calibrated human figure rig was placed against RV-1200 in a dedicated scale pass, giving stakeholders an instant, credible sense of real-world footprint that numbers on a spec sheet can't communicate on their own.
The finished set pairs full-vessel hero renders with that scale-reference composition, giving reviewers both the product-launch polish and the dimensional honesty a stakeholder deck needs.
Concept renders

Behind the project
The Brief
A stakeholder review deck needed to communicate RV-1200's true footprint alongside its surface and piping detail.
Reference & Scale Setup
Real-world dimensions and a calibrated human figure rig were established up front and reused across every shot.
Modelling & Surface Detail
Containment framing, piping, and instrumentation plating modelled to a level of accuracy that holds up to close review.
Studio Lighting & Render
A single lighting and material setup carried across full-vessel and scale-figure renders for a consistent finish.
Behind the scenes
The graphics behind the geometry.
A 3D model and a good render are only part of the job. Warning labels, certification marks, gauges, and data plates all have to be designed as their own graphic assets before they ever sit on a surface, and each one needs to read as something that could plausibly exist on a real pressure vessel.
This sheet collects every custom decal and graphic built for the RV-1200: hazard labelling, regulatory marks, instrumentation faces, and the vessel's own data plate, all designed to hold up to close inspection rather than just reading correctly from a distance.
